Mohammed Ahmed, DO, FASN

Dr. Ahmed is a native of Chicago. He completed his Bachelors of Arts at the University of Chicago. Upon graduation from college, he was a research assistant at the University of Chicago. He subsequently went to the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in the top five percent of his class. He completed his residency at the Loyola University Medical Center where he stayed to complete a Nephrology and Hypertension fellowship. Upon completing his Nephrology training, he completed a second fellowship in Critical Care medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Throughout his training he has published widely on a number of Nephrology and Critical Care topics and has been noted for his outstanding teaching skills with both patients and his peers.

Dr. Ahmed is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and he is board eligible in Critical Care medicine. Dr. Ahmed has expertise in all aspects of Nephrology, Hypertension, and Critical Care medicine. Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American Association of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Osteopathic Association, and the Mayo Clinic Fellow Association.
